Janey Summer
is a mould-breaking female rock vocalist and song writer based in the west of England.
Described as 'powerful
melodic rock with a voice to die for', her debut solo album ‘Along the Way’ was self-released in 2008. Later
that year, Janey was signed as a solo artist to Holier Than Thou Records in the Midlands, and her album subsequently went
out on general release in February 2009. The debut release has met with rave reviews from the likes of Ravenheart Music, Fireworks
Magazine, The Rock and Roll Report, Rocksnail and Femme Metal amongst others.
Janey's vocal and song writing
influences are wide-ranging and include Rainbow, Scorpions, Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Dio, Creed, Audioslave and Free.
As well as performing as a solo artist, Janey has fronted a number of bands including Skewer, Post Apocalypse, 8 Feet
Under, Rock Godz, Crimson Sky and Almost The Hero.
